Meet O3-pro; the game changer for reasoning AI

OpenAI has rolled out O3 pro, a powerful new version of its O3 reasoning model. It's now the most advanced model available in ChatGPT.
Here’s everything you need to know about:
O3 pro is replacing O1-pro starting this week for Pro and Team users.
It works step by step through problems, boosting performance in math, science, and programming.
API pricing is $20 per million input tokens and $80 per million output tokens.
Expert testers preferred O3 pro over O3 across clarity, accuracy, and instruction-following.
It can search the web, run Python, process visual inputs, and recall past interactions.
O3 pro outperformed Google's Gemini 2.5 Pro and Claude 4 Opus on major AI benchmarks.
Current limitations: no image generation, no Canvas support, and temporary chats are disabled for now.
OpenAI isn’t just pushing the model frontier, they’re redefining what "general intelligence" means in practice. The performance leaps in reasoning and scientific domains show where AI is headed: not just fast and fluent, but genuinely thoughtful.
The AI hype is starting to crack.

In 2017, blockchain was the miracle fix. Now it’s AI’s turn.
From chatbots to image generators, AI is everywhere but so is marketing.
Just like blockchain, companies are chasing headlines over substance.
In the blockchain frenzy, even iced tea companies added “blockchain” to their name. Most of those projects failed; 90% of enterprise blockchain use cases were dead by 2019.
Today, companies like Klarna and BuzzFeed are repeating history, rolling out AI quickly, only to scale it back. These failures aren’t about the tech; they’re about poor timing, pressure, and wishful thinking.
Leaders often mistake trend chasing for innovation, without doing the hard work of aligning tech with real problems. The result: PR wins, product flops.
Like blockchain, AI’s value will come not from hype, but from quiet, focused use cases.
AI isn’t a bubble; it’s a tool. But right now, it’s being used like a billboard. The winners won’t be the loudest. They’ll be the ones solving real problems with real patience. The hype always fades. What’s left is what works.
Desktop dominates AI traffic, mobile barely shows up
AI search is booming. But it’s happening mostly where you might not expect: on desktops. BrightEdge just dropped a surprising stat: while AI search tools are gaining traction, mobile is barely in the picture.
BrightEdge found over 90% of AI search referrals come from desktop devices.
Even though mobile dominates overall web traffic, AI search hasn’t followed suit.
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Bing, and Gemini all send 90%+ of referrals from desktop.
Google Search is the exception, with 53% of AI referrals coming from mobile.
Why the gap? Mobile users get in-app previews that limit clicks to external sites. Mobile AI Overviews show up 3x more often for ecommerce but less consistently.
On desktop, AI Overviews appear 39% more often and take up 80% more space.
Desktop offers depth, while mobile remains discovery-focused marketers need to adapt.
This isn’t just a stat. It’s a strategy signal. Mobile users aren’t just desktop users with smaller screens, they behave differently. If marketers build AI strategies without respecting that, they’ll miss the moment. Device context isn’t a detail; it’s the difference.

That’s a wrap.
