Whereas Flux AI is an open-source project that you can download and run on Freepik, Hugging Face, and NightCafe.

I needed to check out which of these models is better in photorealistic photo generation. We know Midjourney, but can an open-source model reach Midjourney’s height in photorealism?

🤖 Midjourney VS. Flux

Here are the prompts and results:

1/ A chef in the kitchen

Prompt:

A seasoned chef in her mid-50s is captured in action in a bustling professional kitchen. The winner is clear, and it’s not Midjourney.

You know why? Because Midjourney is a paid service backed by big corporations, whereas Flux AI is new and open-source.

However, if you genuinely ask me which one I would use, my answer would be Midjourney. I can’t compromise on quality, and I think you wouldn't either.
