Meta's AI-powered search engine could be the next big move away from the Google-Microsoft monopoly on search, according to a new report from The Information.

Think about it: Meta’s AI-driven search could reduce its dependency on Google and Bing, and instead, bring current event summaries directly to us through its Meta AI chatbot on Instagram and Facebook. It’s a fascinating shift, and it's got my attention.

• Meta’s Quiet Web Crawling Activity: Meta’s web crawler has reportedly been combing through sites for months now, quietly amassing a base of information for its own database. I have to admit, building an entire database like this shows serious commitment.

• Eight Months of Development: There’s a team dedicated to this for eight months now. They're not just gathering general data but are working to build their own database for news and even location data, which could eventually put Google Maps in the crosshairs.
