How We Use AI for Writing Twitter Threads

We post 200+ tweets, 20 LinkedIn posts, and 3 newsletters every day. It's not difficult when you know how to use AI.

First, don't think AI will take our jobs.

AI will not take the place of people. That being said, we shouldn't ignore it.

Microsoft, Google, NVIDIA, and OpenAI are all helping writers, producers, and artists who don't have any content.

With AI and ChatGPT, it's now easy to write, edit, and make fascinating TikToks, YouTube videos, and more.

If you use it for planning, editing, rewriting, and, most importantly, getting things done quickly, it can be a great tool for making content.

People also play games with AI. Make too much of something and lower its value.

You will never be a creator if you copy ChatGPT material.

In this post, we’ll help you learn how to write Twitter threads like us to get millions of views and followers.

WRITING TWITTER THREADS

Most people suck at writing Twitter threads with AI.

And I'm not saying it in the wrong way.

They just open a tab type chat, and ChatGPT appears, and then write an ineffective, low quality prompt: "Write me a Twitter thread for this topic [add the topic]" and then expect AI to write a banger viral thread.

It won't happen unless you write the prompts in a clear, specific, and detailed manner that guides the AI in the right direction.

Here's how we do it for our million dollar clients:

I will share the guidelines we give ChatGPT to write the content. And not the complete prompts, which I think are useless.

Prompt writing is more important than copying and pasting other people's prompts.

As someone older than my father said, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime“

These are the guidelines we give ChatGPT when writing a Twitter thread:

This will be like a template, but with enough flexibility to allow for creative expression.

Teach AI what it is and how it should respond.

First, you need to make ChatGPT, or the tool you're using, understand the purpose of the Twitter thread and the key points to cover.

How you do it is by making it a Twitter thread writer.

You say, "I want you to act like a [Twitter thread writer]." In the [Twitter thread writer], add the writer you want to emulate.

If ChatGPT doesn't know them, then give their post information.

For example:

"I want you to act like Justin Welsh and help me write Twitter threads on these topics." This is just an example of how we use ChatGPT to write content for us.

The mechanics:

  1. It will now act like Justin Welsh, who is a renowned creator (if the creator you want to emulate is not as well-known as Justin Welsh, then you can provide more information about the creator).

  2. Added topics so it can just write about them and not go off-topic.

Takeaway: Find the creator you want to emulate. Collect content. Share it with ChatGPT to get started.

HOOK WRITING

If you want to go viral, fix your hooks.

We use ChatGPT to write Twitter thread hooks for us.

You can find our posts on Twitter and see how many views and likes they get.

It's not just because of the followers we have.

It's all because of the hook and the timing.

Here's how we write close-to-viral hooks that mostly go viral for our clients and for ourselves:

1/ Ask ChatGPT to share viral Twitter thread hook templates.

"Hey, ChatGPT, I want you to research and share viral Twitter thread hook templates that always work for all types of content. Mostly for this type of topcis: [Add the topics."

Mechanics:

  1. First, you tell ChatGPT to do research, which is saying, "Search online and find the content."

  2. Next, you guide ChatGPT to share the templates it finds.

  3. By adding "that always works" and "for this type of topic," it makes it easier for you and ChatGPT to share just the perfect ones.

2/ Edit the hook with ChatGPT brutal suggestions.

"Hey ChatGPT, I want you to be brutal on this Twitter thread. I wrote: [Add the hook]. [Share brutal suggestions that I can follow to make this hook viral."

Mechanics:

This prompt has the power to make your hooks go viral. With these brutal suggestions, you'll easily be able to captivate your audience and increase engagement on your Twitter thread.

LAST PART (BODY) and CTA:

The body shouldn't be generated with AI.

If it's AI-generated, then you are not a creator.

When you write the tweets under the thread , make sure to infuse your own unique voice and ideas to truly stand out.

For example, you're writing a Twitter thread on fitness.

You researched and wrote the hook.

After that, you write the tweets under the hook.

The tweets you write under the hook also matters a lot.

So, use ChatGPT to write like the person who you want to emulate or your client want to emulate.

For example:

Prompt, we use someime:

"I wrote this tweet under the Twitter thread hook. This is the hook: [Add the hook here], and here are the tweets under the thread: [Add the tweets one by one]. Now, I want you to rewrite these tweets like [the creator who you want to emulate]."

Here's the CTA part:

When I say 99%, creators don't write effective CTAs.

I say it as a professional who has written for almost 100 people and built successful brands.

Writing effective CTAs is difficult.

But the prompt we use generates short and to the point CTAs for us:

Here's the prompt we use that you shouldn't copy, but rather take inspiration and write for yourself:

"I wrote this Twitter thread: [Add all the content - Text]. I want a CTA for this thread like this one [Add a CTA you saw in another creator's post]".
