GPT-4o is a YouTube scriptwriting assistant šŸŽ„

I created a viral YouTube video script in just 30 minutes with ChatGPT-4. Hereā€™s how you can too:

In partnership with

I bought a course on YouTube scriptwriting, but it taught me literally nothing.

I wasted $300.

After searching on Google, I found some decent prompts for writing scripts, but they weren't specific enough.

So, I did my own research, tested, and wrote prompts that will help anyone create killer YouTube video scripts.

We've tried these prompts ourselves and are excited to share them with you.

Hereā€™s what youā€™re going to explore this post:

  • Prompts to write scripts for YouTube videos

  • Top AI mobile apps you need to have on your phone

  • Lesser-known but powerful books on AI to read

āœļø YouTube scriptwriting prompts:

Best Practices: Outline effective strategies or tips.

Ensure the information is clear and concise.

Copy and paste this prompt in ChatGPT-4o model with the topic of your video.

Research is important.

2/ Create an outline

ChatGPT-4o, help me create an outline for a YouTube video script about '[topic]'. Include an introduction, main points, and conclusion.

Copy and paste this prompt in ChatGPT-4o with the topic you want the outline for.

Outline will help you what needs to included in the script and what not to be included.

You can edit the outline any moment you want in ChatGPT-4o.

3/ Introduction

Writing the Hook:

ChatGPT-4o, write an engaging hook for a YouTube video on '[topic]' that grabs the viewer's attention within the first few seconds.

Setting the Context:

ChatGPT-4o, draft an introduction that sets the context for a video on '[topic]'. Include why this topic is important for [audience].

This is where your scriptwriting should begin.

The hook matters a lot.

4/ Main Content

Detailing Key Qualities:

ChatGPT-4o, write a section of the script that details the key qualities of a successful [related role or outcome], using clear and concise language.

Storytelling and Examples:

ChatGPT-4o, provide examples of how effective storytelling can enhance [aspect of the topic]. Include a short anecdote or case study that illustrates this point.

5/ Visual and CTA Integration

Visual Cues:

ChatGPT-4o, suggest visual elements and cues that can be integrated into the script to enhance the content and keep viewers engaged. Include specific examples for '[topic]'.

Call to Action (CTA):

ChatGPT-4o, write a compelling call to action for the end of the video, encouraging viewers to like, comment, share, and subscribe.

6/ Summarization

ChatGPT-4o, draft a conclusion that summarizes the key points discussed in the video about '[topic]'.

This for the summarization of the points.

I typically look at this and create the script.

Itā€™s the best way to start from the bottom.

Like you know what will be included in the script and video.

Outline is also great for writing the script.

Both works.

7/ Extras

FAQ Section:

ChatGPT-4o, create a short FAQ section addressing common questions viewers might have about '[topic]'.

Bonus Tips:

ChatGPT-4o, provide a list of bonus tips for [audience] that can be included at the end of the video.

8/ Editing the script

Script Review:

ChatGPT-4o, review the entire script for clarity, coherence, and engagement. Suggest any improvements or edits to enhance the overall quality.

Final Touches:

ChatGPT-4o, add any final touches or additional elements to the script that can make it more engaging and professional.

These prompts are basically for anyone who knows one thing but canā€™t do the others.

For example:

If youā€™re like me who needs a complete script of a video to start creating then you need to use all these prompts one by one.

But if youā€™re a G and know how to do things but canā€™t do one or another thing in this script writing process then copy paste the prompt and get results and clarity.

Hereā€™s the Mega prompt I personally use and my other Youtube video creators uses to write scriptsā€¦this prompt is the complete form of the prompts I shared with you:

Topic: [Insert Your Topic Here]

Instructions:

You are ChatGPT-4, a powerful AI designed to create engaging and high-quality YouTube video scripts that can attract millions of views. I need a complete script for a YouTube video on the topic provided above. The script should include a catchy hook, an engaging introduction, informative and entertaining content, and a compelling call to action. Follow these detailed steps to create the script:

Hook:

Start with an attention-grabbing hook that introduces the topic in an exciting way.
Use a surprising fact, a question, or a bold statement to draw viewers in.
Keep the hook under 30 seconds to ensure itā€™s concise and impactful.
Introduction:

Briefly introduce yourself and establish credibility.
Provide a quick overview of what the video will cover.
Highlight the value the viewer will get from watching the entire video.
Main Content:

Break down the topic into clear, easy-to-follow sections.
Use a mix of informative content, personal anecdotes, and engaging storytelling.
Include at least three main points or subtopics to keep the content organized.
Use examples, statistics, and visuals (if applicable) to enhance the explanation.
Keep the tone conversational and relatable to maintain viewer interest.
Engagement:

Ask rhetorical questions to keep viewers thinking and engaged.
Encourage viewers to leave comments, like the video, and subscribe to the channel.
Use phrases like ā€œLet me know in the commentsā€ or ā€œWhat do you think about this?ā€
Call to Action:

End with a strong call to action that tells viewers what to do next.
Suggest watching another related video, downloading a resource, or following on social media.
Thank the viewers for watching and remind them to subscribe for more content.

How to use this:

Just add the topic and youā€™re done!

Thatā€™s it.
