The complete story and what MKBHD said about it:
James Cuda, CEO of Procreate, is making waves with his blunt stance on generative AI.
Unlike Adobe, Procreate isn’t hopping on the AI bandwagon.
Instead, Cuda openly criticizes the technology, arguing it’s harmful to artists and the creative industry.
In short:
Cuda’s statement: “I really f*cking hate generative AI." is clear statement to make people not compete with AI.
No plans to incorporate AI into Procreate products.
Procreate’s stance: AI strips humanity from art and is built on stolen content.
Artists and creatives applaud Cuda’s bold position.
Procreate’s anti-AI stance resonates with artists, reinforcing its commitment to protecting creative integrity.
What are your thoughts on this?
What we think is more on the side of innovation but we also care about human creativity…
I used to draw, play with pen and paper but now I just add a prompt and get what I want.
I fear we might get more lazy and unproductive.

🤖 Rethinking: AI in smartphones
The complete story and my thoughts:
As AI continues to evolve, its integration into smartphones is inevitable. But are the big tech players like Apple, Samsung, and Google approaching it the right way?
In short:
AI subscription models are being introduced, adding to the cost of already pricey phones.
Cheaper phones are beginning to offer basic AI features, following a trend set by Google’s Pixel 8a.
There’s concern that AI features may become gated behind expensive models and subscriptions.
For AI to truly benefit everyone, it needs to be accessible. Locking advanced features behind high costs could alienate users who need them most. The future of AI on smartphones depends on striking the right balance.
What I think:
Apple's AI will be available for free, but only for a limited time. If they're generous, it could be months; otherwise, they'll likely switch to a subscription model like Google.
Honestly, why introduce AI in the latest, more expensive models when we can simply use ChatGPT on any affordable phone? Why not update cheaper phones with AI? Why not add AI to all compatible devices so everyone can access it?
It's similar to Neural Link—only billionaires or test subjects get to use it, while those with less capital can only watch videos of them.
Sad reality.
